A secondary school in Mbale has suspended a Maseno University student on teaching practice after she allegedly engaged in an inappropriate discussion with students.

The student taking a Bachelors of Education in Kiswahili and CRE was suspended on Wednesday after allegedly conducting an extreme sexual discussion with students during a Biology session.

Speaking to a Hivisasa writer, a source divulged that the student on teaching practice has been conducting discussions on sexual topics during her lessons making it a trending topic at the school.

“She was suspended for conducting an authorized talk with students. The Principal was annoyed with the way the teacher conducted herself. She tried to apologise but her plea was declined,” said the source.

The source further noted that the student was also accused of uttering some phrases, which demeaned the set level of professionalism.

“Some students wrote in the school suggestion box complaining that the teacher on practice was discussing sex with some pupils making them go wild,”added the source.

The school is yet to notify the Maseno University administration about their decision. It has, however, advised the teacher on practice not to report for duty anymore.
