Cameroon: The Complete CV of Jean de Dieu Momo, Minister Delegate for Justice

Since Monday, January 7, 2019, he has officially been installed as Minister Delegate to the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals. Jean de Dieu Momo is for many Internet users a form of "Cameroonian dream". This with regard to its spectacular trajectory! Back on the path of a lawyer sometimes misunderstood who has traced his way over time to the elite government.

It was the most popular ministerial installation of the day of January 7, 2019! For many, it was necessary to be there to testify live the taking of office of Jean de Dieu Momo as minister in Cameroon. Born on January 24, 1960 in the country Bassa, the one who still proudly wore the cap of opposition of the Biya regime is polygamous, married to 2 women including a Tanzanian. He is the father of ten children.

From the height of his meter 90 and 110 kilograms, soon 59 years old, he is also called  " Fo'o Dza'ah Nk'euh Ntong Pouh  " because of his honorary title in his village Bafou in western Cameroon. After his primary and secondary studies leading to a bachelor's degree, he enrolled at the University of Yaounde. There, he studies law. After law school, he worked for some time in cabinet before joining the Cameroon Bar in 1992.

In June 1992, he created the law firm Momo. In 2006, he worked as a barrister at the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) for the United Nations in Rwanda. Seventeen years after the beginning of his career, his notoriety takes on a national dimension when he seizes with determination the case of the "9 disappeared of Bepanda" in Douala. In this case, considered his stepping stone for political life, Momo proved to be an activist and virulent denouncer of the violation of human rights.

Subsequently, he officially ran as candidate for the 2011 presidential election under the banana of the political party he founded: the Democratic Patriotes for the Development of Cameroon (Paddec). He is 8 th with a score of 23,791 votes, or 0.4918%. Momo John of God becomes  a prominent critic of the Biya regime until the 2018 presidential election, where he takes an unexpected turn. While waiting to see his candidacy again for the 2018 presidential election, he chooses to support President Biya. His commitment behind Paul Biya's candidacy through the "G20" is provoking many criticisms and jokes on social networks. 

It is strong of this engagement against winds and tides that it was propelled by presidential decree of January 4, 2019 minister delegate with the minister of the justice Laurent Esso. Jean de Dieu Momo is also author of the book  "Black market of our freedoms".
