With the lockdown imposed until 16 April, many pastors have turned to social media to spread the word of God.

However, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri did more than just preach, he called on his congregation to open their wallets and transfer money to his church via online banking.

The self-proclaimed pastor hosted a live service on Sunday and he called on Christians to not listen to their own minds but to listen to God.

He then asked viewers to pay their tithes and offerings into his church's bank account. A clip of his request has since been posted online and Mzansi social media users had a lot to say.
