They were arrested on Friday, January 5, 2018 while holding a meeting at a hotel in Abuja. 

Sisiku Julius Ayuk Tabe (computer engineer) is the acting president of the imaginary state of Ambazonia whose territory covers the northwestern and southwestern regions. He was appointed to this position on July 8, 2017, at a meeting of the Southern United Front Cameroons Ambazonia Consortium (SCACUF) - a separatist movement born in February 2017, the union of several federalists and secessionist organizations. He has permanent resident status in Nigeria. Sisiku Ayuk Tabe (c) Archive 



Me Nalova Bih is the only lady in the group. The lawyer is a member of the African Bar Association. She is at the secretariat of the Acting Government of Ambazonia. Member of the Southern Cameroon Ambazonia United Front Consortium (SCACUF), the young activist is among those who have been fighting for years for the Independence of Southern Cameroons. She has recently granted asylum status in Nigeria. Dr. Nalova Bih (c) Archives Dr. Fidelis Nde Che (Professor at American University of Nigeria) is the Deputy Director of the Resource Mobilization Department in the Gorverning Council of Ambazonia and represents the Southern Cameroon National Council (SCNC) in Nigeria. He is a permanent resident in Nigeria.

Activist Dr. Nfor Ngala Nfor is the Chairman of the Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC), a banned separatist movement in Cameroon. He has been jailed several times for his ideology of separating Cameroon. He is a member of Gorverning Council of Ambazonia. He has the status of political asylum and refugee of the United Nations (UN). Dr. Nfor Ngala Nfor (c) Archives Dr. Henry Kimeng (a teacher at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria) is the Deputy Director of Social Affairs of the Gorverning Council of the Government of Ambazonia. He is a permanent resident in Nigeria. Dr. Henry Kimeng (c) Archives

Professor Augustine Awasum, (veterinary doctor at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, northern Nigeria) is vice-president of the National Assembly of Ambazonia. Last October he called for the release of all students, teachers and other members of society in prison as part of the Anglophone crisis. According to this professor, "the minimum condition to guarantee peace, progress and significant development is to restore the October 1961 Constitution which guarantees a true federalism in which the Anglophone and Francophone regions are equal partners". He is of American nationality. Prof Augustine Awasum (c) Archives 



Dr. Cornelius Kwanga is the Head of Department of Economy in the Sisiku Government. He is a teacher at Umaru Musa Yar'adua University in Katsina, Nigeria. This activist is one of the founders of Ambazonia. "Every time our people rose to protest against poor living conditions, the only response from the Yaoundé Administration was excessive brutality," he said after the lawyers' strike in Bamenda. 

He has always initiated boycotts in the South-West and North-West regions of festivities marking the National Unity Day (May 20) in Cameroon. 

"First of all, we want to inform the world that the Southern Cameroon National Council has called for a full boycott of the May 20 celebrations in the Republic of Cameroon and all the festivities that will follow in their region," he wrote in a statement. Trade Unionist Tassang Wilfred (Executive Secretary of the Cameroon Teachers' Trade Union, CATTU) holds the National Education portfolio in the government of Ambazonia. A member of the Anglophone Civil Society Consortium, Wilfred Tassang fled to Nigeria the day after the teachers' strike in the northwestern and southwestern regions. 

"Shall I ignore the events at Buea University, where poor students with their bare hands, sometimes sitting on the ground, have been clubbed, humiliated, raped, tortured, dragged into the sewage forces of disorder of the Republic of Cameroon? 

Do you want me to also ignore the massacre of Bamenda, populations demonstrating peacefully with bare hands on December 08, 2016? The bloody soldiery of the Republic of Cameroon fired live bullets on the civilian population with the key, several dead! And this live from several national television channels. And during that time did the president of the Republic of Cameroon, Paul Biya? He was having fun taking pictures with the titis, I mean the lionesses! Unbelievable ! Said the teacher in an open letter from his exile in Nigeria. It has recently granted asylum status in Nigeria.Wilfred Tassang (c) Screenshot 



The initiator of the dead cities in both regions, Me Eyambe Elias Elango, is a member of the coordination secretariat of Ambazonia. On August 14, 2017, on behalf of the Anglophone Consortium, he signed a communiqué announcing the beginning of the dead city. 

"No vehicles and no motorbikes will be seen in our streets; not even those held by citizens of The Republic of Cameroon residing on our lands. To the extent that our struggle is not against them, we urge them, however, to scrupulously respect the guidelines set out in this communiqué and the other instruments published by the Governing Council. People will stay home from 6 pm until 6 am to avoid being in unpleasant situations, "said the lawyer. 

Being president of the association of the Lawyers of the department of the Meme in the South-West, he dissociated himself from his colleagues who had the 16 October 2017 suspend their strike death. He has the status of political asylum in Nigeria.
