Greetings 2018: 'President' Ayuk Tabe addresses Ambazonians

The self-proclaimed president of Ambazonia

The citizens of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia followed President Ayuk Tabe's address on Sunday 31 December 2017 on the state of the Union. Being the last and very important speech for 2017, the Ambazonians of the nooks and crannies of the North and South Zones, followed the speech with a great listening.

In opinion polls in both areas, people are hoping the interim president will address education, health and diplomacy. Many believe that the separation of the Republic of Cameroon (LRC) should come faster than normal.

According to Ayankeng Julius of Menji, Lebialem County of the South Zone, the speech is very important for his people.

"This is not news that no school gate has been opened in Lebialem this year, we respected the information given to us by our leaders to wait until January 8th. 2018. So I know that our President, HE Ayuk Julius Tabe, will tell us how that will happen, "added Ayankeng.

Mama Berinyuy Blondine, from Nso, said she would be stuck on her televisions, hoping to hear the great progress of the great nation of Ambazonia. She expressed the opinion that she would like the President to talk a lot about national security.

"We here in Nso leave our own land as refugees. We are constantly harassed and arbitrarily arrested by the LRC colonial forces, and I hope that President Ayuk Julius will tell us how his defense department has been strengthened so that we can rid of those forces that have invaded our lands, "said Mama Blondine.

"I think that President Ayuk Tabe should tell us how much diplomatic progress we have made so far, we need to be aware of the diplomatic activities that the government has carried out so far, and then diplomacy," he said. Mokoko Molombe Innocent, a resident of Mile 16, Buea.

Some Ambazonians are worried about the imbroglio and the misunderstandings with the power which are rife abroad.

"We see on social media how some leaders quarrel with each other and give each other names of birds.I strongly believe that such movements should be condemned and corrected as soon as possible. While such misunderstandings prevail, LRC I, making fun of us and the international community, would not take our leaders seriously, and I urge the president to talk about it, "said Mayok Bessem, a resident of Manyu County.

President Ayuk Tabe's end-of-year speech will be broadcast on the Southern Cameroons Broadcasting Corporation (SCBC).
