Ambazonia: Tchiroma Rebels Against Paul Biya's Call for Dialogue

Ambazonia: Tchiroma rebels against Paul Biya's call for dialogue

Issa Tchiroma Bakary, Minister of Communication

A solution to the Anglophone crisis will not pass through the dialogue between the Cameroonian government and Ambazonians. In a nutshell, Cameroonian Communications Minister Issa Tchiroma hinted at the Africa 24 Channel.

A statement that contradicts President Paul Biya's first call for dialogue in the aftermath of the incidents in the English-speaking regions on 1 January. October 2017, the day of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Ambazonia. The Cameroonian president had condemned "energetically all acts of violence, wherever they come from, whoever the perpetrators", calling for "dialogue".

This is not the case today. The tone of the crisis has changed especially after Paul Biya's declaration of war to secessionists last December. It is no longer a question of dialogue, but of the elimination of these 'terrorists': "Cameroon is the victim of repeated attacks. A band of terrorists claiming a secessionist movement. In the face of these acts of aggression, I wish to reassure the Cameroonian people that all steps are being taken to put the criminals out of harm's way and to ensure that peace and security are safeguarded throughout the territory. national "supports Paul Biya.

Obviously both sides are advancing on the road of no return. The Cameroonian government refuses any negotiations with individuals labeled as terrorists and the Ambazonian group that by all means wants to offer its independence, regardless of the collateral damage. It's good war! But until when?, Wonder observers of the socio political life of the country.

Meanwhile in the English speaking areas, it heats up in every way. Students who are deprived of education, fires that ravage almost every day schools and other public buildings, murdered young men and soldiers.
