The tension has mounted a notch in the city of this region of southwest. People panicked are fleeing hostilities.

08 other Cameroonian soldiers were killed on Monday, December 04, 2017 in two separate ambushes in the district of Eyumojock (Manyu) including 04 elements of the BIR, military source.
The first incident took place in Babong village, an administrative unit where one speaks a language related to Bakaka. The second took place between the villages Agborkem-German and Akwaya. The Cameroonian troops were, reportedly, en route to Akwaya, an administrative unit that, because of the isolation, is accessible only through the Nigerian territory ...
The two deadly ambushes were claimed by a particularly violent separatist group known as 'Tigers' ('Tigers') which had already manifested itself in the Mamfe fires. In both cases, soldiers' weapons and ammunition were swept away by the attackers. According to reports, the separatists exploited the recent contradictory dual message from the Manyu Prefect, Mr. Joseph Oum II, who allegedly unveiled the offensive strategy of the security forces.
