War Ambazonia: the secessionists still kill Kumba

After a series of criminal acts in Mamfe and other locations in Manyu Department, suspected secessionist assailants launched assaults in the town of Kumba, chief town of the Meme Department. 

The South West Region has become a prime target for radical activists fighting for the independence of South West and North West, the English-speaking regions of Cameroon. 

According to concordant sources, armed assailants attacked Kumba defense and security forces on the night of yesterday, Saturday, December 10, 2017. 

"We heard a shooting at midnight. I was out around a jar with friends. We put ourselves in a safe place when gunfire multiplied. We realized that there was something serious going on. This morning, I learned that police and military personnel stationed on the Kumba - Tombel road have been attacked by armed secessionists. An army car was burnt and there were also wounded or even dead, "a Kumba resident tells on the phone. 

According to security sources, this clash between attackers and defense and security forces has made a provisional assessment of several wounded and dead in the ranks of terrorists. Our sources indicate that there are also five wounded in the ranks of men in uniform. "Warrant Officer Biakolo, Chief of Staff Bitoumou, Warrant Officer Njoumu and Commander Nguele are the elements of the defense and security forces wounded," said a source in the army.

This is the second attack on the Southwest Region defense and security forces in four days.

"On the night of December 7 to 8, 2017, five terrorists were shot dead by the Defense Forces who responded to an attack by nearly 200 assailants against the Mamfe Police Station. The terrorists killed on this occasion are: TAKO Prosper ARREY, ANYONG Patrick ABONG, DISENGI Kendry. 

The two other dead attackers have not been identified yet. Unfortunately, there is a death among the Defense Forces who fell during the clashes. This is Constable KELLY Hervé on duty at the Mamfe Gendarmerie Territorial Brigade. Ten other Defense Forces personnel were wounded in the same clashes.
